Co-opted Governor at Arunside Primary School in Horsham
Valuing education, holding a belief that it should be available to all, gaining satisfaction from observing young people as they grow in confidence and develop their abilities as well as a desire to utilise my skills in the world of education within my local community, encourages me to continue as a Governor.
Co-chair at Stedham and Rogate and associate at Rake (now partnered with Rogate) Member of Schools Forum
Brief summary at
My mother and daughter were / are teachers, so I know how much help schools need from people with other experience.I have always loved young children and always felt that helping to improve the start to their lives was a way I could put something back into my local community.
LA governor at St Mary’s CE Primary School, East Grinstead.
I have been a governor for many years and this is my third school. I am passionate about the entitlement of all our children to receive a good education in a good school, which will support their development into confident young people who enjoy their own lives and contribute to everyone’s future.

I am a:
Foundation Governor at Albourne CoE Primary School because I was involved with the local Church St Bartholomews as Church Warden
Governor at Downlands Community College; I was co-opted as a local County Councillor
Trustee Governor at Chailey Heritage School; from my time as WSCC Education & Schools representative I was subsequently co-opted by the Foundation Trustees
Chair of Governors at Manor Field Primary School, Burgess Hill.
I chose to become a governor as I have been involved in education all my working life and felt that that knowledge could be put to use to support staff and children, even although my teaching days are over. I particularly feel passionate about children whose needs can be overlooked, because of the demands of all the other aspects of school life.
I am a co-opted governor at Lavant CE Primary School, Rogate CE Primary School and Central CE Junior Academy.
My motivation is to help schools provide the best possible education opportunities for the children in their care.
I am a co-opted governor at East Wittering Community Primary School and an LA governor at Sidlesham Community Primary School.
I have been a governor for the last 16 years, mostly as Chair and currently hold a seat upon the Schools Forum. Previously I have held the seat of Parent Governor Representative upon the Children’s and Young People’s Services Select Committee.
